elcome to the online home of Jackson County High School Chorus, where we value the importance of a quality Arts Education.

As a member of our choral program, students learn to work cooperatively, pose and solve problems, and forge the vital link between GROUP effort and quality of result. A quality arts education imparts academic discipline and teaches higher level thinking skills such as analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating both personal experience and objective information. An arts education enhances students’ respect for the cultures, belief systems, and values of their fellow learners. It helps students embark upon a lifelong journey towards excellence. It is my sincere hope that my students find it a meaningful journey.

~Todd Chandler, Choral Director

JCCHS Chorus Presents A Child of Our Time
composed by Sir Michael Tippett

"I would know my shadow and my light, so shall I at last be whole."

As a part of fulfilling the Jackson County High School Choral Department's mission and rich tradition the chorus will perform alongside Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonians from Shorter College, former JCCHS graduates, members of the First Baptist Church Commerce Adult Choir, community singers and professional soloists and musicians. The concert is an opportunity for you to experience one of the world's most celebrated oratorios. Come and join us as the choirs join forces with guest vocalists Mrs. Julie Lowry, Soprano, Ms. Holly McCarren, alto, Mr. Tommy Trotter, tenor and Dr. Larry Frazier, bass, Mr. Terry Lowry, Accompanist, and Mr. Todd Chandler, Conductor.
